Our experience in recycling stretches back to 2004 and during that time, our operations have developed to keep in step with changing needs and legal requirements. Our state-of-the-art machines were the first of their kind in the country and have two semi-automated picking lines for separating waste.

Sorting & Recycling Your Waste

Glass

All glass recovered at Pinden is processed at a local glass treatment plant then sent on to a manufacturer to make new products.

Aggregates

Hardcore and Concrete are sorted, crushed and screened, then segregated into a range of recycled, graded aggregates or different sizes.

Metal

Our Material Recovery Facility segregates all types of metals, which are sent to a UK based metal recycler and made into metal products.

Plasterboard

Plasterboard is recovered at Pinden and taken to a large plasterboard recycler in Kent, where it is turned into new plaster or plasterboard products.

Paper / Cardboard

Paper and Cardboard goes to a recycler that bales it and sends it to a mill or manufacturer that turns it into new product.

Plastic / UPVC

We receive all types of plastics in our waste. Recyclable plastics are processed by specialist companies who will turn the old into new.

Chalk

Chalk is excavated at our quarry and processed to various grading on site and is used in the construction and agriculture industries.
