A: There are different rules for selected controlled waste items which must be handled in a special way. These items are generally ones that could be dangerous if not handled correctly. You must not place any liquids, explosives, toxic, or dangerous materials (including, but not limited to asbestos, solvents, minerals or greases), corrosive acid, noxious substances, liquid cement or concrete, WEEE waste (this is electrical items that run on mains electricity and batteries), vehicle tyres or batteries in the skip.
A: We are happy to organise a permit from your local authority for the skip to be placed in in the road. Charges and rules are different depending on your council’s terms and conditions.
A: If you book the skip through our website, you can pay with a credit or debit card but if you would prefer to pay with cash then please call our office and book the skip with one of our sales team. The cash facility payment is not available online and no online bookings will be accepted unless payment has been made.
A: Whilst our drivers will endeavour to take the utmost care while delivering your skip, a fully loaded skip lorry can weigh up to 28 tons so not every surface is suitable for them. Most driveways are only designed for cars weighing up to 3.5 tons so we ask that you carefully consider whether the place you want to put the skip is suitable. We cannot be held responsible for damages to surfaces where you have instructed us to place a skip. For a small additional charge, we can arrange for a permit to keep the skip on road if you are not sure.
